    What is the book about?

The Upside of Bipolar offers a raw and courageous account of my transformative journey to full recovery and provides a clear, actionable blueprint of the integrated treatment model that can guide others toward healing.

Diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1998, I spent twelve agonizing years trapped in a relentless cycle of manic and depressive episodes, enduring a parade of therapists, doctors, psychotropic medications, hospitalizations, and suicide attempts. Overwhelmed by despair, I felt humiliated, hopeless, and lost, deeply pained by the impact my struggle had on my family—my husband and young children.

A turning point came when my psychiatrist and I discovered a groundbreaking approach that transformed my life. This marked the beginning of my development of an integrated method for understanding and treating bipolar disorder.

Now, as a passionate public speaker, author, and mentor, I champion a revolutionary shift in bipolar treatment, focusing on healing and recovery. I emphasize personal responsibility and challenge the victimhood mentality often associated with the disorder. I advocate for an integrated, research-based treatment model that addresses the root causes of bipolar symptoms, paving the way for true healing.

My greatest inspiration and motivation comes from my family. I credit my husband and four children as the driving force behind my perseverance and ultimate success in overcoming my struggles.
